“Thank you for being the mom I always wished I had.”
These were the words of gratitude for Kari, case manager at Mary’s Path, from a former resident who stayed with us for more than two years.
Kari started at Mary’s Path in 2000 after graduating from California Lutheran University. Since, she has worn many hats at the shelter, including house manager and medical coordinator, before her current role as case manager.
Kari works, on average, with 20 girls a year. She has four kids of her own, but is a mother and mentor to many of the residents here.
